Brandon L. Peak has become a Fellow of the American Collage of Trial Lawyers.

Brandon L. Peak has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in North America.

The induction ceremony at which Brandon L. Peak became a Fellow took place recently before an audience of approximately 600 during the recent Spring Meeting of the College in Maui, Hawaii.

Founded in 1950, the American College of Trial Lawyers is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico and is widely considered to be the premier professional trial organization in North America. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds, who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.  Membership can never be more than 1% of the total lawyer population of any state or providence.
The College thoroughly investigates each nominee for admission. The College maintains and seeks to improve the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics, and the administration of justice through education and public statements on important legal issues relating to its mission. The College strongly supports the independence of the judiciary, trial by jury, respect for the rule of law, access to justice, and fair and just representation of all parties to legal proceedings.
Brandon L. Peak is a partner in the firm Peak Wooten McDaniel & Colwell LLP.  Peak maintains a statewide trial practice and is based in the firm’s Columbus, Georgia office. The newly inducted Fellow is a graduate of The Citadel and an alumnus of the Mercer University School of Law.  Of his induction, Peak said, “I am humbled that peers whom I greatly respect deemed me worthy of induction as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and am grateful for this high honor.”

Georgia Super Lawyers and Georgia Rising Stars lists.

Peak Wooten McDaniel & Colwell LLP was recently a proud sponsor of the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia 2025 Columbus Women of Distinction dinner. Our very own Brooke Peak was one of the four 2025 Columbus Women of Distinction honorees.

Brooke was recognized for her work she has done through her non-profit, PWMC Cares, and for being an active community member. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Brooke founded the non-profit PWMC Cares. Over $100,000 was donated to PWMC Cares during the pandemic and around 50,000 meals from locally owned restaurants were delivered to healthcare workers and first responders in Columbus, Atlanta, Savannah, Macon, and LaGrange.
Even after the pandemic, she has remained very involved with the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation by supporting them in various ways. Under Brooke’s leadership, St. Luke Church’s youth group, St. Luke Student Ministry, spear-headed the first community, multi-school Mini Dance Marathon for the past three years. The event brings hundreds of kids together raising over $200,000 for our newly opened Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital. Brooke’s oldest daughter, Caroline, has chaired the St. Luke Student Ministry Dance Marathon and all four of her children are actively involved in the student-led event. She has also organized efforts to support the Piedmont NICU with much needed supplies.
Brooke has continued to use PWMC Cares to help others in need in the Columbus community by organizing coat drives, purchasing heaters and blankets for the elderly, organizing toy drives for the AJ McClung YMCA, the Phenix City Youth Center, and Truth Spring Academy, and organizing blood drives with American Red Cross.
Most recently, Brooke’s hometown of Douglas-Coffee County, in southeast Georgia was devastated by Hurricane Helene. After seeing the widespread damage, Brooke utilized PWMC Cares to get monetary donations and supplies to Coffee County, Toombs County, Atkinson County, and Jeff Davis County and residents in North Carolina.
Brooke has been recognized for her work she has done through her non-profit by being named a “Hometown Hero” by WTVM and by the Columbus Fire and EMS for being a community partner. She was also recognized for her service by her alma maters, the University of Georgia and Mercer Law School.
